• Designed the full gameplay loop, mechanics, and narrative
• Designed the concept of cleansing cursed items in a fireplace
• Designed the items/surroundings changing per time period
• Programmed movement, item retrieval/disposal, changing levels
• Retrieved SFX from the internet and implemented them in game
• Responsible for retaining deadlines, structure, and organization
Additional Context
You spawn in with a small "light source" into a level with a specific theme revolving around an era (for instance, the 70s). After all items are found and burned in
the fireplace with the evil cleansed, a portal will appear which takes you to the next time period. I designed the full concept of the game, managed the team, and
programmed nearly everything. It was created in MonoGame, which was my first exposure to the engine. Luckily it is built in C#, which I had experience with that allowed me
to complete everything with our few-week scope.
